This Natural Cats Eye, traditionally known as Lehsunia, carries the distinctive moving band of light that gives the gemstone its celebrated feline-eye appearance. This optical effect, known as chatoyancy, is especially appreciated because it brings life and character to the stone as it is viewed from different angles. Its brownish green colour has an earthy, forest-toned appeal, combining muted green with warm natural depth rather than a bright, overtly vivid look.
At 2.64 carats, this oval Cats Eye has a pleasing size for a ring that allows its characteristic eye to remain the centre of attention. Minor inclusions are reported, as can occur in natural gemstones, while the overall character remains focused on its distinctive visual phenomenon. An oval setting, particularly in a clean gold ring or a traditional bespoke talisman design, would suit this Lehsunia beautifully and keep the stone’s eye visible on the hand.
A particularly reassuring feature is the report of no indications of any enhancement. For buyers who value a gemstone in its naturally recorded state, this is an important detail: the colour and characteristic cat’s-eye appearance are presented without reported enhancement. The gemstone is accompanied by certification from Nine Gems Lab and IIGJ Research & Laboratories | GJEPC (IIGJ), offering professional documentation for the stated identity and treatment observations.
In Vedic astrology, Cats Eye is associated with Ketu, the shadow planet linked traditionally with spiritual insight, detachment, intuition and inner transformation. Lehsunia is worn in Jyotish practice by those seeking to strengthen Ketu’s favourable influence in their horoscope, usually after personal astrological guidance. This natural Cats Eye is a meaningful option for an astrological ring, bringing together traditional belief, its unmistakable eye effect and the careful gemstone selection valued at Nine Gems, Bengaluru.
